Two Door Cinema Club Album Cover

This album cover was created with ink relief prints that symbolise the freedom and merriment that the album ensues as the ink spills freely onto the paper. This contrasts with the harsh lines created by masking tape on the paper, symbolises the heavy drums and electric guitar used throughout the album.

The prints are interweaved with film photography to counteract the dark hues of the ink itself. The band themselves are described as ‘indie/rock’, so through the use of film, and the ‘grainy’ quality that progresses from this method of photography, it translates well into a rich ‘retro’ aesthetic common to bands with ‘indie/rock’ genres.
